Which diet is best?

I’m sure you are familiar with the scary statistics that state 2/3 of adults in the U.K and U.S are overweight or obese!

So it’s no great surprise that there is a surge of fad diets that bombard us all everyday on the TV and internet. Anyone wanting to lose weight may see overcoming this mine field of confusion as daunting as the challenge of actually losing the weight itself!

Fortunately, both can be relatively simple processes if some common sense rules are adhered to. With something as emotionally loaded as dieting, it is all too easy to ignore what common sense deems questionable! That’s the power of that inner desire for results! When you learn to harness that power and channel it into the right process, it will keep you motivated and on track.

The important part is getting on the right track!! Here is where the diet selection process can be greatly simplified…any diet that doesn’t advocate eating little and often, of low fat food, every few hours, 5 or 6 times a day is flawed!! I can be very confident in making that statement because every good personal trainer should be saying the same thing! That method of healthy eating has been tried and tested for decades.

It’s not just athletes, bodybuilders and healthy, fit people that need regular small, healthy meals. From day one every single person reading this, showed that same basic need. You may not remember being a baby, but any parent will be all too familiar with how babies remind you if they don’t get their 3 hour regular feeds! Sadly, that consistent attention to nutrition diminishes with age and by adulthood we seem to ignore Mother Nature’s precondition.

The price we pay for that neglect may not show in tears, but the weight we put on if we don’t follow the rules of mother nature is the body ‘crying out’ for regular nutrition! Don’t worry, you can forget the bottle, but if you want to lose weight, look and feel better, never forget regular eating as the first step towards those results!
