Organizing your goals into categories and time-frames will give you direction and focus, thus allowing you to have an overall sense of direction. For example, you might have 5 tasks that all deal with research, 5 with setting up your office, 5 with obtaining licenses, etc. If you take the time to group like tasks together you can save time and energy and arrive at your desired destination faster and with fewer headaches. You also might find it useful to have deadlines. Ask for help from someone you trust that might help you set realistic expectations and give helpful feedback.
